Launching your startup is the easiest way to get your first users and start to iterate on the user’s feedback.

There are plenty of places to launch your startup. I even created a list with more than 400 of them!). But the easiest ones are startup directories

Why should I post there?

  1. It’s easy

Posting on startup directories is super easy. You fill out a form with your logo, banner, pitch, and name. That’s it! It takes only up to 5 min per directory!

  1. It’s the fastest way to get eyeballs on your product

When you’re featured by the directories, you get instant traffic from the directoty’s audience. And eventually, you get signups, and people start using your startup

  1. It gives you credibility

Being featured by ProductHunt, for instance, or being “#1 Product of the Day/Month” is a great way to build trust.

  1. It’s good for your SEO

Each listing is a free backlink to your website with a good Domain Authority. That’s one of the easiest to have quality backlinks and improve your SEO

List of the best directories

  2. AngelList

  3. CrunchBase

  4. ProductHunt

  5. Alternativeto

  6. G2

  7. Capterra

  8. Crozdesk

  9. Feedough

  10. IndieHackers

You can find more than 80 of them. If you’re interested, I curated a list of them here: xavierc.gumroad.com/…

How to post?

Use the “incremental launch” technique:

Select a small startup directory, and launch your product on it. Get user feedback, and iterate on your product based on them.

Then, launch a slightly bigger directory, learn, and iterate.

Rinse and repeat until you launch everywhere - my advice here is to launch on ProductHunt at the end of the process.

That way, you’ll already have a very refined product and many users!

That’s a wrap!

Let me know if you launched on startup directories and how it was!

If you have any feedback or just want to say hi, just hit reply!

I answer every email I receive.
